| I had a UPPP and tonsilicomy. How long should it be before the sutures release? The ones in my throat released today and it has only been six days. It has opened up where my tonsils were. Is this normal? It looks wierd back there. |

7-10 days is normal for chromic gut to dissolve. And most of the time the wound edges spread a bit, dont' worry about it and follow your aftercare instructions to avoid infection. if it appears that the incisions have reopened (ie. torn sutures) call your doctor to take a look at it.
