As many folks enjoy a day off here in the USA, we should reflect on so many who have given their lives for this country. Those who have served know the price many have paid, more than the rest of us. It is a sacrifice made with the intent to further freedom. Today, we see a society that is a shell of it's former self. Focused on individual needs, and wants, over what is best for this country. We live in a time where the sacrifices made by so many great souls are taken for granted and glossed over as history. Many of us here understand the true nature of these sacrifices. Of what these patriots gave. Without them, the entire world would be a different place, and freedom would not be what we see it today. Remember what was given today, for all of us. Lives that could have known so much more, were lost to protect this country and it's freedoms. Today should be a day of reflection not only for what has been given to us, but what we can do to continue their efforts. God Bless all of those who have given their lives in service, those who have served and come home to us, and those who continue to serve this great nation. |
