Craigslist scammers piss me off, so I mess with them as long as I can before they finally realize they've been had. I have a pretty good one going now, off something I posted on there yesterday. I really wonder if it's at all possible to invoke any kind of human decency out of these douche bags. Anyone had any good convos with them? My current one is as follows: Him: is this still for sale? Several months ago, I ran into a similar deal on Craigslist, except I was the buyer. Seller listed a late model truck, way(!) below retail. I contacted them... seller said the vehicle was her son's and he was killed overseas... she couldn't bear to look at the truck in the driveway and just wanted to get rid of it. I told her was interested.. and they were hot to trot to finalize the deal. So I asked when I could look at it. The seller said they were located in a small town in Illinois, but they would deliver it to me instead for a small fee. I lied and told her that I had a BIL who was a cop in a town about 40 miles away and he would come a look at it for me... if it was OK he would give them my money. They suddenly lost interest in me...go figure.  The scam seems pretty common now and not just for cars/trucks. |

This just happened to me today. The irony is, I'm selling a piece of car audio gear, and the guy claims he's deaf.
