Everyone in our area calls them pervert glasses. There is even an app to out the wearers called "Zuckoff" on app store. I thought they would be kinda neat, but they attract all of the wrong kinds of attention, and are unlawful where I work. |

I’ve had a pair for a while now. Pretty well retired them a couple months ago due to the pervert sect of our society making them publicly verboten. They did work well and the AI + camera information capabilities were nice to have. Pictures and video did work well enough when grabbing my phone wasn’t an option. I view the purchase more of an attempt to get more innovation put into the sector so that we do get some truly useful options. I’m currently researching the Even G2s to see if they’re worth getting and if the capabilities are worth it. I do see some benefits of losing the camera and gaining a HUD but I’m not sold yet. ETA Cons- the speakers are louder than you think. Battery life isn’t the greatest and you cannot wear them powered on for maybe a half day at best. They’re banned at a good number of places now. I would not buy if I was looking now just due to the limitations on places they are allowed and that goes for all glasses with cameras. There are some really cool ones in development if you go down the YT rabbit hole. I’m curious to see what actually makes it to market. |

Wife and I have been using them for the last 3 months. They're a lot more handy than I originally thought. Wife is learning Mandarin and uses the real time translation feature while practicing with her Chinese colleagues. There's a little bit of a delay but it helps. I've actually used mine by looking at Chinese restaurant menus and asking it translate for me. My daily use is largely taking pictures of notes, presentations and chalkboard stuff while I'm at school. I send those to Anki and they make flashcards for me to study later. The only things I don't like are that the glasses are little heavier than regular glasses and the battery life isn't great. I haven't made it 6 hours yet. Looking forward to hearing about the Gen 3s released today. |

| Relevant to my interests. We like to take videos of some of our builds and post them on social media. I thought a pair of these would be great for filming those types of videos. I was however, going to try the cheap $50 pair off TikTok before I spent several hundred on these though. Zero desire to wear them in public. |
I've borrowed them for an FPV shot, that part is cool. No longer do you have to wear a gopro on your head. So many possibilities with them.  81MM Mortar POV |

| I have a set and wore them at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, and they worked great. I don't use them that often, but they're pretty neat. |

Honestly they have a lot of upside - and they WOULD be more popular with the visually impaired crowds (think: hands-free calls, text-to-speech menus, reading the mail, chatting with family). Unfortunately the learning curve on actually setting up the specs, needing a phone or computer and a Meta Account to actually use them is why I think they're not terribly popular. If they dumbed it down for "normal" people I think it would be more popular. I have a coworker who uses them to record his soon-to-be Ex Wife making threats and generally to document her craziness. He keeps them on at home whenever possible - It's saved his ass after she called the cops and claimed he was dangerous, stole his firearms, etc. Ohio is a 1-party state IIRC, so he was able to use the videos in court. |

I know a fair amount of competition shooters have started using them to film runs, etc. they could be useful for stuff like youtube except for their native aspect ratio's and clip length limits. |

The fragility of them along with not trusting how waterproof they are kept me from using them in more than a few scenarios. |

| They are actually very useful for a few different things. I use them while at the range to get feed back later on my shooting. Very hard to get that without them. The translation stuff would be cool if I lived somewhere where I needed it. I live in Missouri and they speak English, redneck, and hood. At least that’s who I run into. Music plays good on them but the issue is the battery is weak. Very easy to need to charge back up multiple times a day. As for places that don’t allow them, I have not seen that in my area but I would just not do business at a place that tried to restrict what I am wearing. Especially when those same places film people all day anyways. The glasses have a lot cool stuff it can do that I have not used and probably never will. For a couple hundred bucks it’s not a bad purchase. The people worried about being recorded are over dramatic. Especially when they are the ones constantly posting themselves all over social media anyways |
