| After "Heat" and "Collateral" I'll see anything Michael Mann directs as a matter of general principle. I think he is the least likely to make a politically correct, watered down pile of crap, and the most likely to include at least one quality firefight featuring realistic weapons handling. |

Click on Media at this link for the trailers. Looks pretty good, actually.  Looks like their in some silver Ferrari. Something tells me this is going to be another hit for Micheal Mann.

This is the only movie that I am pumped up to see this summer. From what has been talked about on other boards Michael Mann used a real 50 BMG with live ammo to shoot up a chrysler 300M because he did not like the looks of .50 gun shots on a computer. Crockett will use a high end 1911, and SIG552. Tubbs has a SIG and AOW shotgun. The bad guys use all types of guns, but the trailer shows an HK33 The only thing I will not like about the movie is Jamie Fox. |

Most actors are queers in heart at least but come on Mann made Tom Cruise look like a badass.... I can't wait to see it |

I am gonna see it on opening weekend Like some of the folks this is the one movie i have waiting for to finally get to the theaters. The one thing that has always stuck in my head about the series was Phil Collins In The Air Tonight playing on the show, kinda hope they use the new version by non-point of In The Air Tonight ,that song rocks imo.

Hell, A local restaurant hosted a Miami Vice themed party a year back, Our team consisted of Castillo, Tubbs, Zito, a cardboard life size Crockett and one poor fucker stuffed in a kids plastic floating alligator. We were the center point of attention with women crawling over each other to take photos of us under the palm trees they had dragged out for the party. One lady had Castillo (me) and Crockett laying in her bed the next morning. So, we our got my white suits and T-shirts waiting for this |
I don't know about that...I am not really a Collin Ferrel fan, but the reports are basically that Collin Ferrel would show up to work on time, offered to do a lot of his own stunts, and wasn't the least bit phased by some real life gun play in one of the 3rd world pissant countries that Mann wanted to film some of the closing scenes in. Jamie Foxx on the other hand...was a complete BITCH. Late, acted like a turd, and ran like a scared dog and demanded that the closing scenes be shot in the US. I am torn from seeing it or not. I really cannot stand Jamie Foxx...but I loved Miami Vice as a youngster. I'll probably see it. Hax |

Looks to me like Collin put on some muscle for this role, I saw a picture of him someone had posted in an earlier thread on Miami Vice and he looked as thin as a teenage girl. He has that I'm an undercover cop trying to look like a biker with the long slicked backed hair and facial hair. I have to admit I am jealous of these guys they get paid a TON of money to train with firearms with some of the best instructors money can buy. Between SWAT and Miami Vice I would say that Collin must be pretty comfortable with firearms. |
