I have been looking for military records on my Uncle and Grandfather. My Uncle was in Korea and we were told a plane carring the records went down. My grandfather was WWII. We went to St.Louis to look up records and found some stuff but were told a lot of records were destroyed in a fire. Some of the records did have burns on them. My question is does anybody have any places, web sites etc. I've looked a lot of places and  running out of places to look.

     Thanks,
                Heavy.

Ran into the same thing (fire) with my dad's WWII records.  I didn't go farther but was told the medical records were stored in a different place and could be used if needed to assist, for example, in a claim.

The med records can establish dates, injuries and places.  Sad though.
