| they any good? I am building a dpms mk12 308 with a tactical machining lower and i am looking for a decent but no to pricey scope on it. I have seen pretty good reviews for their scopes, but i have never held or seen one in person. What does the hive mind say? |

i like mine. i have the trs-1 and it is fine for me. it's not on par with the leupold/nightforce, but i only paid 250'ish for it. how is the glass on them, is it pretty bright? is the fit and finish nice so that i can take a reasonable beating? I haven't really been rough with mine. Mainly it sits on my 308 mega build that's shot suppressed. i have had no issues with it, but have only shot it out to 100 yards. glass is bright for me, but i don't have lots of experience with the upper echelon of scopes. |

Unless you shoot in lowlight conditions, you probably won't notice any difference in the glass. |

I'm building a new rifle as well, and I'm planning on hanging this one on it. http://primaryarms.com/product.sc?productId=134&categoryId=159 Millett 1-4 x 24 DMS, Multi Coat Red-Dot Rifle Scope![]() |

It's a little heavy, but it works good and the price was right. I got an outie not an innie so a little extra weight don't bother me. |

http://www.snipercentral.com/milletttrs.htm check out this review yeah, i actualy just ran accross this after my last post. they seem less than totaly impressed with it. they say it is a ok entry level scope but other than that it was kinda blah. It might just be worth it to drop a couple extra hundred bucks on a higher level scope, since i plan on doing some longer range shots out of this rifle. I already have a nice ior in 2.5 x 10 x 42 and really like it for the price i paid back about 8 years ago. I might go that route again. |

DMS-1 1-4x , LT mount on my AR-15. For the .308 I would go with more magnification. My .308 ORC has a 16" barrel and is currently not really optimized for longer range usage where greater magnification would be nice. Is there a way to dope out a 168gr load of a 16" barrel and utilize mil dots on a higher magnified scope? Seems like the ORC is more of a 400 yards and closer type rifle. 3x or 4x should be enough I'd think... |

You might look into the super sniper scopes. The EE has pretty good deals on them from time to time. I had a millet and hated it. It wasn't a terrible scope, just not my deal. This. I've had a SS10X42M for years and love it. The Millett that I got for a deal a few years ago is teh suckage in comparison. Not near as bright and clear of an image. Just a toy in comparison. |

Half the price too. |
