Milo has written an excellent article that will go largely ignored by the MSM.

He's called out the liberal hypocracy and highlighted the common sense conservative approach. Trump would have done well to pick Milo for veep.

I’m comfortable with people who are uncomfortable with gays, as long as they don’t want to kill us, maim us or throw us off rooftops. (Permission for lesser violence is available upon application.) For leftists, the reverse appears to be true — they’re uncomfortable with people who are uncomfortable with gays, unless they want to kill us and maim us and throw us off rooftops.

Thus, decline to bake a cake for some lesbians and you are a heinous bigot. Murder 50 fags and injure 50 more and you’re a tragic victim, probably reacting to islamophobia, whose dad will be invited to stand behind Hillary Clinton at a rally.

There’s no diplomatic way to put it. In this historic announcement, Donald Trump has dramatically overtaken the chronically Muslim-friendly Democratic Party on gay rights. I predict conservatives across the west will soon follow suit. The right is quickly realising that, thanks to the silence on Islam, it is they and not the left who are destined to safeguard women, gays, and minorities from the barbarians of the East.

What's truly amazing to me is how this guy would, under normal liberal conditions, be the hottest thing in pop culture right now.

But because he largely eschews the liberal agenda, we hear next to NOTHING about him.

They are giving him absolutely no voice that I see anywhere.  If he was a typical flaming leftist homo, someone that articulate would be everywhere.  He'd have his own show on E!, he'd be a celebrity judge on every reality competition show, his website/opinion would be mentioned all the time, like that faggot ass perez hilton, only times 100.

It's sickening.

Roght? I don't agree with the gay shit as it goes against everything I believe, however I don't sit there be like "fuck gays". It's a spiritual/religious difference. My personal/political beliefs align pretty well with Milo.

He has a different voice, a gay one that the left says is racist and homophobic. Makes no sense. That's like calling me a race traitor because I'm Latino and support Donald Trump. The left uses prejudice to explain the actions of the right, but at the same time seem to be the most prejudice and racist people around.

Politics nothing.

Now, I don't know Milo personally, so I won't make any statement on his character good or bad (obviously his public image is an often-satirical caricature, and reasonable people understand that's not who he truly is).

But as far as gays in general?

Man, I'm so done with the bullshit.

Yes, I have some disagreements with them about what constitutes healthy sexual behavior (seriously, no butt stuff, y'all).  I also think there's a moral/religious component to it.  But I have those same disagreements with straight people.  I don't expect anyone to change, but at the same time I also don't want to endorse things I disagree with.  I think that's fair.  I don't think that means we can't be friends.  I disagree with all of my friends about at least something.

At the end of the day, these differences between us are super tiny compared to all the stuff we have in common.

And fuck politics for trying to put us at odds against each other.

Why would he?

For years, the loony left has been screaming at us about the horrific treatment of gays in this country at the hands of the religious right. Begging and pleading that something must be done to protect them from the onslaught of vicious Christians.

Then the muslims actually start killing gays, and the loony left tells us that we need to be more accepting of their culture, and that we should embrace the diversity of islam.

They're all fucking ceritifable.

I voted for Cruz.  (Note: MD's primary was before he went off the deep end.)

I think he would have been a much better candidate if he wasn't forced to cater to the Fundamentalist right.  He has consistently been on the side of liberty while serving in the Senate, and I believe he would have made a decent enough President.  Better than Hildog for sure, Trump probably (and certainly more electable).

But we dug our own grave with that one.  The Fundie Right demanded that Cruz align 100% with them, his campaign managers listened (oddly enough), and then (to no surprise to anyone), all the Fundies abandoned him when it was time to vote.

So you've got Trump now, like it or not.  This is what you've asked for.

Yes, the Fundamentalist Right is numerous, but they're unreliable.  They are to Republicans what the black vote is to Democrats, but without the concentration to lock up major population centers.  Politically, Fundies are fair weather friends, and they'll only play on their own terms.  Worse, they're toxic to a majority of the population at large.  The Republicans should have abandoned them in 2000, or even '96, but they didn't and here we are.

Milo is my favorite political figure at the moment.

Years ago, I was big into politics and read everyone's books and met the folks involved.  Hitchens, Malkin, Coulter, De Sousa, etc.  Christopher Hitchens drunk and calling people "pigfuckers" is a highlight of my life.    He's obviously not a Conservative, but he was intellectual honest would call the Left out on their shit.

The shit just got boring, though.  Conservatives were constantly on the defensive.
