Just because it says Milwaukee, doesn't mean it's quality. Just got these out of the package at Home Depot. Made in China FTMFW!

I think only after 2013 or so, could be wrong. All of mine are USA made.

Vise-Grip used to be made by American tool in DeWitt, NE. Irwin bought them and took it to China along with Quik-Grip clamps. My dad used to sell them pallets.

I've never really liked Milwaukee. That said, I just picked up a Milwaukee branded chalkline, not expensive, but every other one I've bought lately has sucked out of the package. This Milwaukee is solid.

So you waited until your were out in the parking lot to look at the quality and see where the tool was made?

All are made in China now and I couldn't see the jaws until removing the packaging. Bought an Irwin, also made in China. This was to complete a kit for the car which I may never use so I folded. All of mine in the garage are USA made that I got off Ebay last year. Some were NIB from the 70's

If you want a good set of vise grips, search on Ebay for Petersen, you can get a very nice pair for $10-$15
