No fees to get your money, just google it. I had 45 buckaroos waiting for me. Made the claim in July, got a check in October. |

Never had a relationship with them until a few months ago and our mortgage was sold to them. I think it's just an escrow balance difference. I don't even have a checking, savings, or credit card with them. |
| I check this periodically and always find family members in there. I found a ton of items in there for my dad a few years ago that didn't list any dollar amounts and after sending him to multiple places getting documents notarized, he got a couple thousand bucks. I finally found myself in there in 2014 and after taking time off work to get stuff notarized, I received a check for a really small amount, I don't remember what it was but I remember it was less than the cost of gas I used to go get it, so probably like $12.00 or so. |

My names on their for less than a buck. Figured fuck it Im getting my pennies so tried to apply for it and was notified I needed a piece of mail from the address from my very first apartment. Yeah,ok, like 19 year old me kept anything like that. ![]() I had $132 owed to me by a previous landlord. The money was held by the state of NH. I had to prove I lived at an address 16 years ago.
I wracked my brains and then it hit me: Tax return. I sent the first page in which had my address and date on it. |
| I found my name in the city paper a few years ago on a list of unclaimed property. That was a real surprise. The other real surprise came when I found out what it was.....$17k from my last jobs 401k. I moved and forgot all about it and the bank couldn't get ahold of me. There was a great feeling of relief/stupidity when I got it back. |

How the hell did you know I was just thinking about this yesterday? I didn't remember where I had heard about this and didn't know where to look but remembered I had looked and knew I was owed some money.
$168! Thank you OP! Nice birthday present that I won't get for 6 months. |

It's legit, i have a couple hundred on there from an old credit union account that i've never claimed.
But the most interesting/disturbing thing I found is that the Treasurer of the Great State of Alabama is named............... .........wait for it............................. Young Boozer.
1- dude's white. 2- dude ain't even a rapper. 3- dude's 68 years old. 4- dude's an Episcopalian so I guarantee you he's a tea-totaler. Can't have a state treasure built on misrepresentation people....now get that man a drink and a microphone, I wanna hear some beats drop. |

My deceased grandfather has a couple owed claims listed and has for years but I never bothered to try to claim it. My dad was the executor, he said it probably wasn't much and he thought you might have to reopen the estate to claim it. Might fool around with it tomorrow.
The claims owed date back to the mid 90s before he retired.. |
