| My buddy has a 16" carbine made with their parts and he seems to like it. When I was looking to build another AR I just could not get myself to buy their products. I dont know why but I didnt have the warm and fuzzy feeling while looking at their gear. Maybe it was bad advertising or lack of solid reviews, I just dont know.. |

I haven't dealt with them for the last four-five years, but all the stuff I've bought from them before (two uppers and some other things), has worked flawlessly.
So five years ago, I would have highly recommended their stuff - in spite of all the brand snobbery on arfcom. Today, I don't know enough about their quality to do so. And, as someone else pointed out, there are a LOT of options these days, some quite inexpensive - so if there are questions about their quality recently, it might be best to look elsewhere. |

In 2004 I had a monumental snafu with them over shipping (they lost a return, had to get UPS on their butts to 'find' it). That sealed the deal for me, and the bazillions of reports of other issues over the years haven't helped. I have no doubt that they put out some good stuff, but I think a case can be made that their 'problem rate' is higher than most, and with all the other options out there, M1S won't make my list of vendors anytime soon.

I canceled the card before anything to big hit but then read here that others had the same problem.. The upper work fine although I didn't use their bolt or bolt carrier |

| I have purchased 2 uppers from them. A 16" carbine which I still have and a 20" SS varmit which I got rid of. Both functioned well, but the 20" SS Varmit would only shoot 1.25 MOA. Not accurate enough for my tastes. For about $100 more, maybe even less, you can buy a RRA which guarantees 1/2 MOA. That's what I bought and it indeed shoots 1/2 MOA consistently. Model 1 is also notorious for CC theft. Don't know if it's still going on, but it was a common experience from what I hear. I would steer my friend toward RRA or one of the other reputible vendors. |

Years (6 or 7) ago I ordered a complete kit from them. The only thing I would complain about is the quality of the bolt and small parts kit. Other than that the bbl was good to go. It is actually my SBR barrel now even though it started life as a carbine bbl. Then, about 2 years ago I ordered some crush washers and flash hider from them. Shortly thereafter my CC was compromised. I've never done business with them since then. That was the only place I used my CC at in months so I know it was them, somehow. Bravo Co. is much better IMHO. Go with them. |

I've ordered quite a few kits and uppers from them over the years and never had the slightest problem.
It's not "top-shelf" stuff... but for the money, I have nothing bad to say about them. 
I haven't ordered from them lately, so it's possible things have changed... but my experience with them has been positive. |

A guy brought a model one to blackwater about five years ago. "But it always worked before!" Course a sample size of one and I already didn't care for them [shrug] |

What kind of ammo are you running? remington .223 white box nothing special. I recently have had problems with Delton's bolts and LPK. I built a flattop m4 carbine on a RRA lower. It Fails to fire 1 in 5 rounds and Fails to go into battery 1 in 10 rounds. Recently at the range, the lower pins walked out. Fortunately it does run with a different bolt and KNS pins fix the problem. This is the first problem that I have had from Delton out of 4 parts kit rifles. My other rifles have completed local carbine classes with a 500 per day round count. I have at least 5000 rounds through one of my parts kit rifles and really trust it. |

I hope your friend is ready for a rifle that is heavy as fuck though. Personally I would much rather have the 20" Predator Pursuit (has the same medium weight barrel as their Nation Match rifles).
