| They are readily available and very inexpensive right now. I have modified them for a Taurus 99 by slightly enlarging the mag catch slot. I have also made them work in an Arex Zero 1 by cutting a new catch on the front of the mag tube. Has anyone used them in something else? |

I have looked into this as well in the past, here is a list off of reddit of ones that apparently work if you modify or cut a new catch cutout: Glock G43X Glock G48 Arex Zero (thanks u/CDKJudoka) Gen 1.0 S&W M&P 40 (thanks u/antiquated_reality) CZ75 series SIG P226 Taurus S&W 59 Springfield XD Walther P99 (thanks u/sovereigndevelopment) AREX Zero (thanks) Canik TP9 series (thanks /u/Logizyme) M&P 9 |

 PT 92/99 just involved making the slot a bit wider. I did a half dozen in probably 10 minutes and it shows as they are a little rough. They function fine though and you could go slow with a file if appearance bothers you. |

I learned in Iraq 08’ that M9 and 226 mags are interchangeable and will work if you hold the mag up. Same mag body design just different lockup Later in Afghanistan did modify M9 mags for S&W Sigma and Titas machine pistols (yes select fire). Same cut works in both. First did the measuring thing but later just removed mag catch from pistol, inserted M9 mag and scribed where to cut You can also cut new bottom notch for 92S pistols. Tried the M9 to preB cz75 but no go. Did conversions M9 to Taurus 92 too |

I have nothing to add other than those Checkmate M9-mags are made from some well hardened and heat treated steel. I've used the baseplates for rehabbing HI-Power and older, pre-92F Beretta magazines for years since they're a perfect fit for both. The springs on the earliest Checkmates (pre-2008ish) might leave a little to be desired, but they are durable, very reliable magazines. The later Checkmates are fantastic magazines, especially when they reverted back to and mimicked the old USGI M9 mags as made by Mec-Gar under subcontract for Beretta. |

I will attempt to do so this weekend with one of my High-Powers |

I tried it with a High Power this evening: M9 mag fits snuggly in both my Inglis clones but the single mag I tried was quite tight in my Belgian Browning.I removed the mag catch on an Englis , marked the location, and drilled/cut the slot. It does lock into place on the Inglis clones but extends around an inch past the but of the pistol. Function was not nearly 100% and the slide does not lock back on the last round. It would however, lock on the 5th round with a loaded mag for some reason. Overall, I would consider this a failure as the factory mags fit and function better and are readily available. Zombie Apocalypse and no other options? Sure but I won’t be modifying any more for my High Powers. |
