Please kill it due to serious lack of fact checking on my part.
Sorry. Why could the Department of Housing and Urban Development possaibly need $550 Billion a year. That's more than the base budget for the Department of Defense per Wikipedia: For the 2010 fiscal year, the president's base budget of the Department of Defense rose to $533.8 billion. Adding spending on "overseas contingency operations" brings the sum to $663.8 billion |

Why do we even have a federal department of housing and urban development? Shouldn't housing be a state/local issue? Housing should be a "you" issue. As in if "you" want a place to live, then "you" should get a job. After the last three posts, I find myself asking how I can subscribe to your newsletter. Well said! |

Quoted: HUD does not have a fucking 550 billion dollar budget. Are you folks just completely giving up on putting any kind of thought into the things that you believe, or what? I realize the numbers are skewed. However, they have quite a budget and are good at losing money into vast unknowns of paperwork losses. |

OP is a dishonest troll, and the rest of you are idiots for believing him right away. |

Where did you get your numbers from?
I did some poking around, and it seems the HUD budget for 2011 is 5% less than last year...and it's only $41.6 billion. In 2006 it was $33.6 billion Am I interpretting this information incorrectly? http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/press/press_releases_media_advisories/2010/HUDNo.10-026 ETA: Looks like I was beat by 3 mintues...I've been researching this for over 10 minutes...so sorry I was unable to chime in earlier... |

Their budget is 50 billion and they shouldn't even exist as a Cabinet department. But putting up completely false numbers and then jeering at them is ridiculous and childish. |
