Please kill it due to serious lack of fact checking on my part.

Sorry.

Why could the Department of Housing and Urban Development possaibly need $550 Billion a year.

That's more than the base budget for the Department of Defense per Wikipedia:

For the 2010 fiscal year, the president's base budget of the Department of Defense rose to $533.8 billion. Adding spending on "overseas contingency operations" brings the sum to $663.8 billion

Why do we even have a federal department of housing and urban development?

Shouldn't housing be a state/local issue?

Section 8. It is expensive to import crime into the suburbs to justify yet more government and further erosion of our civil liberties.

Yep.
Every 5-10 years, close down a project, renovate it, and move the same turds right back in so they can destroy it again.

Housing should be a "you" issue.
As in if "you" want a place to live, then "you" should get a job.

Because government has been looting then wealth of our country and its citizens for decades, that's why.

HUD does not have a fucking 550 billion dollar budget.

Are you folks just completely giving up on putting any kind of thought into the things that you believe, or what?

I realize the numbers are skewed.  However, they have quite a budget and are good at losing money into vast unknowns of paperwork losses.

Annual budget $43.7 bil. (2010)

Not even close. OP is a dishonest troll, and the rest of you are idiots for believing him right away.

Where did you get your numbers from?

I did some poking around, and it seems the HUD budget for 2011 is 5% less than last year...and it's only $41.6 billion.

In 2006 it was $33.6 billion

Am I interpretting this information incorrectly?

I agree. Their budget is 50 billion and they shouldn't even exist as a Cabinet department. But putting up completely false numbers and then jeering at them is ridiculous and childish.

CDBG, CSBG, WIA, HOME, Summer Feeding, grants to name a few.  All programs designed by leftists to assure that the 'down trodden' i.e. non-working, baby producing trash are given money earned by honest, hard working taxpayers.  O-word voters love this shit.
