I almost smoked someone's GSD while hunting coyotes. Through the thermal it looked like a coyote. My brother told me not to shoot when he saw the glint of the collar with NV.

When I was a kid we shot every dog that came on property that wasn't ours wild or tame. Boo hoo. It's a fucking dog, keep it at home. People with livestock will kill it. There are some huskies that are mostly passable as a wolf. That... does not. Was she in the middle of nowhere not expecting someone's lost pet?

Being a Husky owner most will chase live stock , kill chickens if they get a chance .
It doesn't seem this is the case here about a loose dog chasing live stock . I really think she's a bit retarded not trying to be funny. |

Quoted: I get shooting that dog, thinking it was a wolf. What I don't get is walking up on it, cleaning& skinning it and STILL thinking it was a fucking wolf. Guess I should go shoot a beef and claim it was a cow elk. View Quote Almost makes a fella wonder if it happened the way they’re claiming. |

Wild dogs are a menace and more dangerous than wolves in some cases.

She should have gone on a solo hunt for griz although I'm not sure if it's a he or a she. Predator Husky that ate her 10 pound bag of Krespy Creams. I hate those people. shooting stuff for no good reason.
I had people warn me, they were locals trying to be good neighbors, when I moved off the grid that my dog better not chase deer because somebody would shoot it. I said if a deer comes on my property my dog can do anything it wants to and if somebody shoots my dog for no good reason I'd kill them. Yes, I used that word. The kept their distance after that because I said I sometime mistake humans for large dogs 'cause I had bad eyes. Once you get old enough, death means nothing, it's the process that can be scary. |

Even if the dog isn't doing anything wrong, a dog has no legal rights off it's owner's property.

One of my trips down under, I smoked a large feral cat that was killing a farmers chickens.
After I got back to Alaska I found out his neighbor down the road was asking about their cat that went missing |

View Quote It’s attitudes like this, and stuff in the OP that will be the death of hunting and hunter based conservation in this county. Newsflash, it’s not 1950 anymore. Whether you agree with it or not, dogs are considered part of the family to most people. Want to give hunters a really bad name? Shoot peoples pets indiscriminately. Worse yet brag about it on social media. I get it, having a hunt ruined by a bad bog or bad dog owner sucks. Yes I know in many states shooting said dog is legal. That said I think it’s a terrible idea. Call the game warden or law enforcement, let them handle it and the shitty owners. |

Quoted: I used to think that the stories about deer hunters shooting cows was bullshit, now I'm not so sure. View Quote It's not all that hard to mistake cattle on remote range land for something else. I encountered a lone cow on BLM range land several years back that through the thick trees I was convinced was a black bear, until I finally got close enough to see it was a lone cow. It was making all the same sounds and feeding movements that a bear would make. I thought I was way too far in to see ranging cattle, I was wrong. It was not happy at all to see me and began snorting and stomping, preparing to charge me. I had a black bear tag for any bear and I thought I was about to fill it. |

If that was a solo hunt, who's taking the pictures? This has to be a troll

View Quote The year I got serious about deer hunting, a man in Minnesota shot a gray horse thinking it was a deer. While it was in a corral, with a 10 year old girl riding it. Edit-had the state wrong. |

See, if she was in the kitchen or running a vacuum, this wouldn’t have happened.

I love huskys, but I also know how often they run off, still that sort of ticks me off.
