Yeah, really had to use the "what are you going to hunt with that" crap when there's a freaking single shot black powder upper assembly available for the AR15 now. The question really is, "what can't you hunt with that?" given the number of chamberings available for the AR15. I think I'm gonna leave the one reply, the ground work for a defense has been laid and others can take it up as they see fit. If the idiot doesn't believe that you can hunt just about anything on the planet with an AR15, there's the various little rifle calibers, the custom heavy hitter calibers, and then the specialty stuff like black powder or even 50BMG. We all know where to grab tables/data or references for penetration or even lack of penetration compared to handgun ammo. Easy enough to absolutely rake these uneducated turds over the coals. |

How did you come across that thread anyway? I'm curious. Anyway, I've browsed this forum a bit here and there and this encouraged me to sign up. I like this community here. A simple intro, I'm a 15 year old kid from Detroit who loves sports and the outdoors. I live for baseball and love playing it, and I love basketball, hockey, and football as well. I'm very traditional conservative in my views and I liked Ron Paul's campaign up until he decided to drop out and not run third party. I know he hasn't dropped officially yet, but.. Anyway, thanks for the backup and the thread here. I'll post as much as I can here and would love it if some of ya would come on over to BBW to see what's brewing in the Political forum. It's funny how when you use logic against liberals, their arguments completely fall apart, then they get all frustrated and resort to name calling or try and change the subject. His last post really provoked my inner ant burner. Knew it wouldn't be long before he showed his true colors and fell into the "guns are useless" argument. Earlier he said that he only had problems with certain kinds of guns and now he's been nailed revealing his true opinon. But to the point, Shit yeah I own guns for the purpose of killing people. As bad as that sounds it's not for the deliberate criminal act of commiting murder... In the sense that self defense with a firearms requires you to stop a person, there's a direct correlation to quick effective stops and lethality. As far as a logical argument is concerned, lethal force is the quickest means to stopping somebody who's threatening the life of another. I want the biggest baddest cartridge to stop that person who's making those dangerous threats as possible and if it just so winds up that they die in the process that's of secondary importance to stopping the threat. It's perfectly spelled out time and time again in police department lethal force policies, they don't "shoot to kill" specifically but rather "shoot to stop". But when you look at it the central nervous system and COM shots are all in areas highly likely to provide lethal shots and take a person out of the fight quickly. And the idiot is suggesting that the populace not have access to the same protections as police? |
