Found a few while sitting along the river a bit ago.
I found 2 that  some what have an orangish brown color to them.


the rest are normal.
they good to go?

Mushrooms are nasty anyway, but anyone who post a photo hoping for the OK to eat them...

i figured.just wasnt all that certain.
never seen them with that orangish tint.all other were pretty white or realy dark.

One there looks like a false morel. Split it ass to brain, if it's solid, and not hollow like the others its a false morel.

False can be ok to eat, unless you are one of the unlucky with a reaction to them.

ETA: The falses have Gyromitrin. Causes cancer, and hurtin.

The odd colored one is just a day older, and is starting to lose it's freshness. They only grow for a couple days before withering.

Maybe you should get an identification guide for mushrooms if you want to pick them.

I'm going looking for them tommorow.

Its terrible they cant have fields of these things so that supermarkets can be full of them.

Just trim off the dark spots.
Heres my buttery fungus dinner from tonight, all I can say is MMMMMMmmmmmm. Filled 7  skillets with that bag.
