Hard to beat seeing impacts on steel, followed some time later by the sound (if not too far). It’s neat hitting things all the way over there from all the way over here.

Yep.  The older I get the more I enjoy smaller targets and longer distances.

I shoot my handguns more than anything else simply because I can do that at home, I have to drive to get anything over 100 yards.

Call me a fudd but shotguns are the most fun for me. Followed closely by 22LR steel and then any pistol.

Milsurps, leverguns, revolvers.

AR's and striker-fired plastic for serious practice, sure, but just out there having fun?  Something that requires more that a trigger squeeze and a mag release.

WTF, no belt fed?

I voted long range bolt.  AR15 is right behind it.

Depends on the day. Some I want to blow off steam with a big bore handgun, others I may want precision at long range.

I enjoy building and then going to the range to test fire. I get the most pleasure when I can put 100 rounds through a gun with 0 malfunctions. My AR9 build gave me a really hard time and I enjoyed the troubleshooting and messing around with it to get it working properly. Now it’s my favorite and I take it every time I hit the range. I bet shooting real targets, like clay or steel, would be way “funner” than paper at an indoor range....

long range? Longest one around here is MSAR @ 50 yards :(

What do you shoot the most?

I have shotguns, but rarely shoot them

Mostly handguns. Since I got into uspsa years ago that’s where my time and energy goes. FWIW our action shooting sports section of the range (3gun, uspsa, Idpa) doesn’t allow rifles outside the 3gun days, otherwise I’d be shooting them more. For now though, run and gun with pistols is where it’s at for me.  Also helps I’m shooting an atlas titan and need to justify its purchase through heavy use.

Poll fail.

Semi auto 12 gauge.

VEPR 12 is absolutely giggle inducing.

Shotgun not in the list - moving target fun is best fun.

Not 100% sure why but I think pistols in general are the most fun; full auto excepted.

Right now is suppressed Scorpion EVO, cheap and easy to reload for.

I do want a K can or one that can be used configured to K size.

I miss shooting steel, ranges near me are paper only.

All of the above.

...BUT, I get the most fun *and* practical training/skill building when pistol shooting.

Why, FULL autos of course! As long as someone else is buying the ammo.

It really depends, I seem to go in cycles. For awhile I’m into ebrs then precision then shotguns. A pistol always goes with me and I shoot a few mags or a few hundred rounds just depends on my mood.

These days, 20/12 gauge semi auto shotguns breaking clay pigeons. Once I get my skills together, I am going to get a decent quality over/under(browning citori or similar) and up my game.

I am looking forward to being skilled enough for sporting clays and Trap.
