Eariler today I noticed the cat was acting crazy in the bathroom. After I got out the shower, the cat started chasing a small mouse that went under the bathroom vanity. I mananged to get it out, but the freaking cat started playing with it instead of killing it. At that point it disappeared in the rest of the house.

Our house is not very big, but there are plenty of places where a mouse can hide. We've had no problems with pests, I just imagine it was looking for some heat since its been cold at night. My wife will not kill it if she comes across it, so I need some options on how to dispose of this vermin.

A: We cannot kill it with fire. As much as I would like too, it just isn't practical. (and I don't have any nukes to kill it from orbit)

B: We have 2 dogs, and the French cat. I'm kind of weary that if I leave out poision, or a mousetrap they will get into it.

What other ways can I deal with this mouse? I just don't want the other animals to get hurt in the process.

sorry, but from orbit is the only way to be sure.

My condolences on your cat failing to perfom it's job adaquately.  Perhaps if you stop feeding it for a few days in might reconsider eating food on the hoof.
