No shit.  As a kid I used to watch the Opry on b&w TV, and everyone still wore all that gaudy pimp stuff.  I ignored the goofy costumes and just listened to the music.



I grew up on the old  stuff and stopped listening when it all went rock-a-billy, or worse.



First time I saw High Noon I instantly knew it was Tex Ritter singing the theme song.



I draw the line at listening to Gene Autry, though.

Those 'costumes' were called "Nudie" Suits. Named for the guy that made the first ones and for famous stars.
