Mulling is great. Mead is Awesome. Mulled Mead is therefore greatly awesome.

strange thing is that there are tons of Meaderies around here and I have never really been to one for the enjoyment.

Pro Tip: Only get it up to about 100F, any warmer and the alcohol vaporizes and then you will have to huff it.

Mead seems to be a hit or miss kind of proposition, at least in my limited experience with it.  It's always been too sweet for my taste.  But then a few years ago I tried some mead from Redstone Meadery.  It was good.  Not too sweet.  However, since then I've tried their mead several times.  All of them seem to be slightly different, and none of them have been as good to me as that first bottle.

I guess there's a lot of variability in making mead.
