I ran a search and didn't see anything mentioned on this movie. I watched it last night. I thought the first 2/3 to 3/4 of the film were decently done. It seemed to lose something over the last 30 minutes though. It did bring back the days of my childhood when "black september" was the boogeyman. |
yeah, i can see where some would have that problem. I knew that would be in it since spielberg was directing. Rarely if ever do I see a movie where I agree with everything. |
I have a friend from Isreal who's wife will not allow the movie to be shown in their home. The reason...she is completely agitated with the way that Spielberg portrays the moral problems that the main character has. She says that when these events were occurring, there was absolutely no problem with the killings. Same type of outrage about the thing last year with the Lebanon escapade. |
The assassinated asssassin chick was BEAUTIFUL. Seriously a shame she had to be offed. ![]() Blurring the line between the .gov seeking retribution/justice and the terrorists that executed the hostages was stupid. The whole we're no better than them and terrorists aren't so bad thing was really really lame. They're just victims of circumstance! |

Be sure to see Sword of Gideon as well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM4h4TsEDqE |
| Munich dragged on. It was boring; much like that Matt Damon film The Good Shepard. It had an interesting story, but it just got bogged down with lame, over-extended dialog and such. The assassination scenes were good - the chick getting killed threw me off, especially how it was so...I don't know. I didn't like how they killed her. It should have been quicker and not so personal. |
I thought the movie was pretty good, although it was a little hard to keep up with what part of the world they were in at any given time. Did the beautiful hooker/Dutch girl actually kill the Mossad agent or set him to be killed? Was she a contract killer? She sure didn't look like an Arab to me. |
I'd say in the movie she was a contract killer hired by......you don't know. Speilberg explains in the director's comments that he wanted people to think about the decision to kill those who killed. To me, it was simple. Eliminate the enemy that wants to destroy you. |
