cool looking gun... when I came of the age to purchase pistols and carry etc, in the early 90's, Star was a viable and affordable option. I always thought they were neat looking guns and they seemed to have a good enough reputation for the money, but they're kinda all tanks so I didn't think I'd carry one.. I say good purchase Mr. Fudd... if it's interesting to you it's good enough.

I really like my Star 30M. I didn't want to pay extortion prices for extra mags so I bought S&W 59 mags for it. I had to modify the follower so the BHO worked correctly, but it wasn't hard. Nice weight in the hand, shoots great. I am a lefty and the star on the grip was rubbing my thumb funny so I filled it in with epoxy.

Cool acquisition, OP. FWIW- When, I removed the magazine safety from my 9x19mm Star Super Model B, it became unreliable, with chronic failures to feed. Long story, short; the magazine safety was also supporting the front of the mag keeping the feed lips aligned correctly. Just something to consider if you start experiencing FTFs. |

Recoil springs and extractor parts are what I keep one or two of for my obsolete guns. I'll gamble on the rest. |
