- I allowed ZZ Top looking guy to come to my house. He brought his girlfriend.
- He attempted to low ball me on the purchase. We met halfway. - He paid cash. I helped him load up his new canoe onto his truck. - No overwatch. No backup. - May or may not have scoped out my backyard during the process. - Took wad o'cash and bought lunch at Five Guys for the Reno family. That's it. |

Nobody comes to my house for transactions PERIOD.
If its too big to load up and haul to meet, it goes on the curb for trash pickup. Not worth my life or the safety of my wife to have some weird people snooping around my place. That said, I've actually made 2 friends from Craigslist sales. Older lady I sold some hardware cloth to hooks me up with fresh eggs, and a guy I sold my touring bike to and I have beers and talk the glory days on occasion. |

I just got done selling a kayak, weight bench, weights, and a punching bag and stand on Craigslist.
Surprisingly, I got exactly the amount I wanted for each item. Only difficult one was the punching bag since it was a teenager that didn't know how to properly communicate and was scared to talk on the phone. He wanted to stop by and I told him I never give out my address unless I speak to the person buying first, so I met him and his dad at a nearby Target. No issues. Two months ago I sold a NIB tile saw. Took a month to sell since it was mostly Mexicans offering so little (and demanding emails) that I wouldn't bother responding to them. Eventually, I sold it for my asking price which was very reasonable. I'm tired of Craigslist though. |

Well. Kinda. It would have been a better story if he had pulled a knife on me or if his girlfriend hit me in the back of the head with a hammer. |
