I don't buy steel or operate the machines. I just do the electrical work and start ups.

If it's not proprietary I'd really like to see it machine one of those.
I've been fascinated with big machines like that ever since my vocational class took a trip to Marion Power Shovel way back when!

Nice. Its a pain when shops order machines from Europe and they are funky voltages and whatnot.

Not bad.  My project today is to figure out how to get a red hot 11,000 lbs axle spindle off of a furnace car and into a quench tank without fucking something up, dropping it ,getting anyone hurt, or deforming it.  Oh, we're quenching it tomorrow morning.

ETA:  And come up with a rough cost on a foundation for putting in another Mazak V100.

Can you give any details?

Amperage?

Location of DP relative the unit?

Are you gonna drop into the top of the cabinet or possibly hit the ground with a dead-leg floor flange w/T-condulet + sealtite?

There are multiple ways you could feed that...

We blew the end and 100 amp peckerhead off a 480V bus duct yesterday.  Sawzalled the end off, blew all the shit out, wrapped the ends of the bus bars in tape and put new fuses in the cutouts and it was as good as new

Because THHN isn't flexible enough to bend into all the cable trays and wireways inside the machine.

You are correct in that THHN/THWN is not as flexible/bendable as DLO. It is still an odd cable choice per my experience.

I'm in for some post-installation photos of the conduit routing & cable install...
