Hey guys, my recent post on Strom Thurmond's death was wrong. It offended and pissed off alot of people that I don't wish to be enemies with. The conforntation that resulted was my fault- i shouldn't have said the things about the Senator. Regardless of one's political beliefs and ideology, it is never excusable to wish him harm or be glad when harm happens to him. THAT was un-American. For the words we had I aplogize and i hope we can put the whole thing behind us. |

| I'm glad to see Buff's apology. I think it shows character and while I had glanced at the post in question a couple of times, Though I had not participated, having more pressing threads to attend to. Having been a lifetime Republican and having worked on the Oklahoma Campaign staff for Reagan the second time and Bush Senior, I think I can safely say without fear of being called a DU troll, That the only thing I will miss about Strom is his seat. |

You started the thread with a certain opinion of him, based on propaganda. Hopefully, you were exposed to some info that has you thinking. You didn't beguine or say anything out of line against me,so you owe me nor anyone here an apology! You do however owe one to Strom,and since he is no longer here,things will just have to go on(I personally think he would just let it slide) as we all should do when one disagrees with what we believe! What is with the "I'LL BE WATCHING YOU" remarks that some of you are making or implying? Are you his parents? If you're gonna be watching him, then I'LL be watching you!
