Now let me preface by saying that I haven't cared enought about pro bball enough to watch it on a regular basis sine Michael and Scottie had every game televised on WGN, but this years playoffs have a lot of intreaging story lines.
The Knicks are hot going in and Carmelo has been on fire, but he has never made it past the first round. Not to mention his ex team is doing very well in the western conference. The OKC Thunder are the defending western champs, but trying to repeat without Hardin, who is tearing it up with the Rockets....who they play in the opener. The Lakers just lost Bryant until the middle/end of next year, but Howard and Gasol have been playing great together, which they didn't do while Bryant was healthy. The Heat. I'm not a fan of Lebron James I can't lie, im pretty intrigued by it. I think it might have the excitement of March Madness. Who are you guys pulling for? I think it would be a cool story for the Celtics to come through, especially because you don't know how long Garnett and Pierce will be there, or at least to play at that level. Also wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs take it. I respect Tim Duncan a lot, not to mention he is one of the greatest players of all time, while at the same time very humble. Not to mention he is also at the tail end of his career. |

Melo is overrated. The only reason why he gets a high point total most games is because he takes 2 -3 times as many shot attempts as anyone else on the court. Also, fact = Melo owns the worst playoff record(17 and 37 career) (1 and 8 with the Knicks) amongst any player in NBA history. The rest of the Knicks are too old. Possible NY finally gets by the first round this time because the Celtics are all grandpas too. But I'll be rooting for the Celtics in this matchup. Other predictions.. Brooklyn beats Rose-less Chicago Denver(Gallo injured) vs GS..? I can't pick winner Miami crushes Bucks Indiana vs Atlanta ? toss up. San Antonio beats LA with no Kobe. OKC beats Houston Memphis vs Clippers ? toss up, probably goes 7 Miami is most likely gonna make it to the east finals again. West is a tough call, either OKC or SA but I think Memphis could possibly be a dark horse for the west if they get a little lucky. So if its.. Miami vs OKC I'll pick Miami to win if its SA vs Miami I'll pick SA to win. if its Memphis vs Miami I don't know. |
