I think that there ought to be a Scrapbooking Forum. It's just as expensive as owning a gun and I think it would attract more women to the board whether they shoot or not!

Just ask TBS about all of the stuff I have. It's worth well over $5000.00's!

Um.....no.

General discussion is general enough without cluttering the boards further with non-firearms-related stuff.

YMMV.

I'm kinda liking the idea. I don't scrapbook, but my oldest daughter does. If we had a forum just for scrapping, then I could learn some things and surprise her with nifty little things she may need.

Are you talking about a scrap booking forum on this site... or your very own www.monasscrapbookingforum.com.

Scrapbooking on this site would only further pussify AR15.com [Airsoft being the first pussification shot heard around the world].

Unless you're just getting people spun up for a good laugh in the spirit of the endless run of "we need a _____ forum" posted on here. If that's the case then you've succeeded x10. Congrats.

I say remove "Sports Talk" (who really goes there anyway?) and replace it with "Religion".

Why can't scrapbooking be done in the womens forum (or here in General)? And one more quick question: Why in God's name do you gals spend so much money to dress up a photograph? I got drug into a scrapbooking store one time. I can't believe how much money they charged for things you could buy and make yourself for an 1/8th the price. What a disgusting waste of money. The markup has to be like 100% or better, I swear.

Personally, I hate looking at pictures that are cut up and doctored with glue and construction paper all over the place. Just put them in an album, in logical order, and place stickers containing a caption under them. Done.

(My wife disagrees with everything I've just said, as you can well imagine).

Men are not going to undersatnd "scrapbooking".  From the replies so far these guys probably don't care what happens to the photo's.  Examples:  Mom during her pregnancy, or the birth of the babies, first hospital photo's etc.  Or the babies first steps, or first tooth, or first day of school.
How about the first time you took the son shooting?  Or his first fish?  Your first build?
Scrapbooking takes specific memories, and dresses them up in an archival album that the grandchildren and great grandchildren can look through and see the importance of events in the life of a family.
The cost, can be expensive, but so is ammunition that gets shot at  shaving cream or beer cans that cost money and just gets wizzed awayOr smmiches that......never mind.
I think what she is meaning by a forum for this is for your wives/girlfriends that would make the website more appealing to them, IF they are not into shooting, or maybe BOTH.
You never know, so it is something to consider.  If you started a tacked thread for scrapebooking, it may just grow into something in the future.
She did say an IDEA, so you guys need to unbunch your panties and quit fearing pussification.

I mean this in the nicest possible way

Personally, I think the tacked thread idea would be a good place to start.
Gauge how much interest it generates, then make a call on a forum for it.

If there's a lot of interest in it, then it could bring more traffic to the site and maybe some of our hobby will rub off on them. Making more new shooters.

Not entirely a bad idea.

Not really, they did that with Airsoft and all we got were trolls and wannabee's.  Besides, I cannot see Ethel and Bertha logging on to ARFCOM in between rounds at a 3 gun shoot to get scrapbooking and quilting ideas.
