Watching the Cowboys play the Chiefs this morning... The Chiefs are wearing their throwback uniforms from when they were the Dallas Texans, so they've got the shape of the state of TX on their helmets... I think that kind of sucks if you're a Chiefs fan...
when did the NFL start using the throwback uniforms every week? I remember they used to do one or two weekends a year where every team wore the throwbacks... but I don't recall it being a team or two EVERY week... what are your thoughts? |

But they failed on making the home teams wear dark colors a few seasons ago, so if you go to the games regularly, it's always your home teams' color vs a white jersey... Lame... |

I chose one week all teams, but lets be honest.....the only reason this thing exists is to sell more jerseys.
Frankly, I hate the 'throwback' crap.....once in a while for a special commemorative day is one thing, but a regularly schedule day every season is dumb and it wears out the idea. I could see doing it on a significant anniversary or in honor of some old timer who passes away.....but the ways its done today is nothing more than a commercial grab at fan dollars for differently colored merchandise. |

I think the chiefs were wearing them in hope's they could go back to dallas. Maybe then someone will put some money in the team cause we all know the current owners haven't done dick in years. Never fails. There is usually a few star players, and the rest of the team is a joke. And when those star players leave, they usually get picked up by a team and head off to the superbowl within 2 seasons.
As for the jersey's, doesn't matter. |
