Awesome pup you've got there.  Naming pets is a very personal thing.  Palin is a no go.  Rottys can live up to 15 years I can't see naming him for a possible VP.  Best thing to do is watch the dog.  See how he acts, what kind of personality he has and base your name upon that.  I named my female Rotty Kodiak because she looked like a bear when she was a pup.  I named my Boston Mayhem Joy because when she was awake she was mayhem in physical form and Joy because she is a joy to have.  Good luckwith your pup.  Looks like you got a good one there.

Drago!

"Whatever he hits, he destroys!"
"His genetics are superior!"

Cute dog dude. I think it's sad that they have a bad reputation, but as someone who grew up with a GSD, it's often those "MEAN KILLER DOGSSS?!! TAKE THEM AWAY FOR THE CHILDREN!" that are much sweeter and more affectionate than those little  wanna be cats pocket size dogs that really raise hell!

Good looking pup. I agree with Murphy, let his personality give you a name and avoid Palin.

I will second third the vote of let his personality make his name.       Give him something simple and monosyllabic and if you make sure it isn't a word you use often or he won't recognize it as his name.

Also you can give him something generic now and specify him later on.

Yo or Mutt works quite well

Well first of all, in several states it is illegal to place a dog under eight weeks of age.

At six weeks a pup is still learning important canine social skills from it's siblings, most importantly bite inhibition and the language of dominance and submission. Puppies who leave the litter too early can have problems with bite inhibition and have social issues with other dogs later on.

*** added, puppy opthalmologist eye exams can not occur earlier than six weeks. A breeder placing a six week old pup has not bothered to check the litter eyes for inherited defects.
