I have no experience with photo shop or any photo editing programs. Would someone be willing to process a picture for me to have it made into a metal print for our hunting/fishing camp?
Thank you in advance. |

I'll say post it up, or provide a link; we usually don't go all GD on photoshop requests here. Results might not be so hot depending on the format and quality of the original image. The print would be 12x18. |

It is jpg format since it was a long weekend and raw would a killed both cards I had that weekend. I can send full original if needed. The print would be 12x18. There's only so much that can be done with a jpg. Edit: POB_0474 by Paul O, on Flickr
This is exactly the sort of image I'd want to see a raw of. Not exactly the best light going on here. |
Warmed up the sky, played with color/ highlights, crop 18x12 and removed the bush sticking up in front of homeboy on the left.

After the day we had yesterday, I'm surprised I can even function. The GF and I got our asses kicked going into town. Actually, that's not entirely true. Going to town was fine - more or less, it was going home that sucked. There's some big international political thing going on, lots of heads of state visiting. So, traffic is an absolute mess. No taxis available. We found several that were empty, but the driver refused to pick us up. Some do it because they're racist fucks and won't pick up a white guy. Others because they just don't want to drive all that way out to where we live. Silly me, I thought they were driving the cab because they want to make money. The drive from Makati to where we live is a pretty good paying trip for a cab driver that wants to earn some money, and we always tip generously. Oh well, their loss. We ended up walking a fair ways to get home (this is after walking about 2.5 miles to get where we wanted to be in the first place - see traffic and taxi note above) and we found a passenger van that was heading towards a mall that was in the general direction of home. Seems like a good enough idea except this one was nearly full and I had to sit in the very back in a seat which does not have room for me. And we were in this van for over an hour. I couldn't hardly move after we got out. Then we tried to board a train. I've been carrying my usual pocket knife with me all day every day everywhere we go (including on this very same train several times), but this one particular guard decided he wanted to confiscate it. LOL no. I snatched it outta his hands and we left the train station. ..shit, now where do we go. We ended up riding a succession of jeepneys to get home. It took us about 4 hours to travel maybe 15 miles of linear distance. Probably could have walked it faster.

Attached File Adjusted color balance, a touch of unsharp mask, and a slight levels tweak in addition to the crop. ETA: changed my mind and added a little color saturation: Attached File |

Man, and I thought I had a bad day because I was sick. Holy hell The whole reason we went to town was to visit my favorite camera shop, to see if they had a grip for a D750. They did not. So, we left. We made it about halfway home (coincidentally to the same mall where the van would later take us) when they called and said that they had procured one. From where, nobody seems willing to admit, but they got it for me, and asked if we were available. So we had to go back. We rode the train to the closest stop and then had to walk the rest of the way because the traffic was just gridlocked to fuck, and we wouldn't have made it before closing time otherwise. But, the happy ending to this story is that my D750 now has a grip on it and balance and handling are much improved. I've also moved the hand strap over to it from the D500, as the 750 sees more daily use. The D500 still gets some work here and there, but it's a long lens and occasional macro camera, the 750 handles the day to day stuff. |
