I remember reading an article about a SWAT team that got in a gunfight a while back. I need the info for a class and despite my best efforts I can't find it. I am now beginning to wonder if I need a psych eval...
Anyhoo, I was hoping someone here might be able to help. From what I recall the incident occurred in a rural area (maybe Arkansas?) and upon approach the team was unaware the primary was barricaded in a secondary structure that was also fortified. They started taking a fire and 2 officers were wounded. There was no armored vehicle available and the subguns they were armed with were not able to penetrate the structure. The 2 wounded officers were unable to be reached and at least 1 bled out after several hours. Does this sound familiar or is my wife right and I really do need my head checked? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
| I have swat training on Monday so I will ask the guys. I do remember them talking about this a little while back. I seem to remember someone open firing from a closet shooting through the closet or something like that. I also think they were expecting the entry from the team. But during training on Monday I will ask the guys and holler back here on the forum. We train twice a month, one firearms day and one tactics day and when we hear things like this we cator our training to prepare for whatever situation that team faced. |
