Can I, a PA resident w/ a PA driver license, purchase rifles or handguns in TX? Thanks guys.

Rifles, yes. Handguns, no.

Unless you are military and stationed there, in that case you are good to go for both.

Yes to both.

You can purchase a long gun and take it with you.

You can purchase( pay for it) a handgun in TX and then have the seller ship it to your FFL in PA. You just can't take it with you. If you are already in TX, call your local shop in PA and have them fax a copy of the FFL to the shop in TX. When you get back to PA the PA FFL can transfer it to you in person.

This is of course assuming you don't live in TX and are going back to PA soon.
