I'm on the last room of a whole house remodel and I'm looking to do the entry with something different.  I've done popcorn, accoustical, knockdown and spatter in various rooms in the rest of the house.

I am putting this house on the market later this month, so I need something eye catching when prospecive buyers first walk in.

Any Ideas?

I always liked the options from Armstrong. Easy to install and are really unique.

Armstrong Ceiling Tiles

I've installed a fair amount to say i would use them again, for my personal home sometime down the road.

If you're looking for a cheaper more cost friendly alternative, go with a non textured painted ceiling, new home buyers love making something their own, and with a blank palate, they can do that.

Cheers!

Some older homes had swirls made in the ceiling with a brush or whisk broom. Those are different, but look classy when done well. They just used wet mud on the ceiling and had a repeating pattern. I haven't done them in a big area, but they turned out OK in smaller ones. I think they would be best in a higher ceiling, as any imperfections would show less.

Of course, you could always go with the heavy duty wooden beam look. We did this years ago in a bedroom and it came out great. Put some flush lighting in the cedar planking along with heavy beams. Very cool effect.
