Hey all. I need to get a good camera but I'm not really 'plugged in' enough to understand what's available.
A little background info: I build windmills. Actually, I lay the concrete foundations for the wind turbines that are currently sprouting up like weeds. Always being out in the field I see some pretty amazing things from bad weather to broken machines. I also really like taking pictures when I'm at the range. The biggest problem would be the environment that I work in. It's dusty, windy, wet, hot/cold and everything in between.
Optical zoom is necessity as is a hardy storage medium.
Bottom line is that it needs to be tough and usable by a non-professional such as myself.
