As the title says, I'm looking to get a monitor to connect to my MBP mid-2015.
I'm going to be using it for coding and running my simulations with either excel open or writing on the other screen. Requirements: 25-27" Preferably under $500 At least x1440 resolution Here is one that I found: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VRKVGJG/ref=s9_simh_gw_g147_i2_r?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1GXY3E3J7SVASP17GHDV&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop Any reviews/opinions are appreciated |

I have one of these: Acer G257HU smidpx 25-Inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) Widescreen Monitor: Amazon
The display itself is nice -- Good colors even before calibrating. The stand sucks and there are no VESA mounts. Probably one of the cheapest 1440p displays, but I like it. If you are looking at under $500, I bet you can get some of the cheaper 4K panels for that price. |

The ability to adjust up and down, and to move it vertical seem very nice to have. A 4K display would be great, but I'd prefer to stay on the lower side of the price if possible (cheap grad student and all )

You won't do better than this:
