I'm having a problem with MS outlook 97. Up until a few weeks ago, it always worked fine. It seems that in the last few weeks, I can no longer 'preview' my email. I also can't just open the email and read it. Whenever someone sends me an email, the text of the email ends up as an attachment in a .txt format, so printing out an email with the email addy header info is also a problem. My I.T. guys are stumped, and no info is availble about it on the microsoft website. Anybody have any suggestions. Upgrading is not what we want to do, and MS will be staying on my computer. (Damn). Thanks TXLEWIS |

First rule is to backup your mail - make 2 copies just in case. Next, try isolating your problem by opening your .pst file with another client machine that's running the same version of Outlook - you can accomplish this over the network easily. If the problems present itself at a different machine, then it's your mail file. If that is the case, try running "Scanpst.exe" first, but MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILE before you make any changes with "scanpst.exe" |

PST is always backed up on network, where it is located It could be in any directory in your file server. Usually the individual who setup the system designates a default folder for your pst files - if you are running if off from the server and not locally. Your admin or tech should have that information. |
