I planted two red maple trees last weekend. One of them is moving around in the root ball.
What do I need to do ? Any help would be appreciated. |

Yep, pretty windy today. I was thinking about staking but the tree is loose in the root ball
and didn't know if i could do something to firm it up so it can't move. Anybody think I could wash soil down into the root ball by the trunk? Bad idea? I don't really know much about trees. |

I wouldn't expose the root ball, stake it, the top of the tree is causing the ball to move, immobilize it and you immobilize the ball. |
