My MIL comes to me for help, as i'm generally tech savvy......

Her best friend started a website to nab a job, she had a friend help her, well the friend stole the website( by changing all the passwords, etc. and stole the job too.  She's also changing the names on things and claiming the credit on other sites... Now my MIL wants me to swoop in to the rescue, and shut the site down. I would have no idea on how to do such a thing without harming the server.  I have software that could
hack passwords,  but without having access to the server I wouldn't know how to do such a thing. I told her IF, I was to do anything at all it would be on HER IP address, I would deny any knowledge of such event and she's on her own. Since she's an irrational woman she accepted this, probably until it's time to pay the piper.  But I would only want to try something Malicious ( which is what they really want as a LAST RESORT! So I would genuinely appreciate any less drastic suggestions or alternatives that would be more effective.  Now supposed my MIL's friend is the one footing the bill, I told her to take it up with the CC company, she's been trying to contact the site manager but they're not returning her emails.

So any help at all in any way, shape or form would be appreciated..

To be honest, I would not even get involved.  There are 2 sides to every story and you are only hearing one side- I dont care who the person is that is telling it.

I was just updating, the owner of the domain has been sending emails for months, and they still have not responded. They have no other form of contact info, can anyone think of anything else?

Thanks!
