| Yup, just depends on how much you wanna spend. I will tell you this. In optics, you get what you pay for. Don't waste your time and money on the $100 specials that you find from Simmons, Tasco, or Bushnell. They will, barely, work in good light for spotting 30cal holes in white paper, to pick out holes in a black bullseye, they are rarely clear enough. (I know, I tried that route)I have a Nikon 15x45 that does well. Kowa has an excellent reputation. Any way you cut it, a good spotting scope will run you AT LEAST $350. Don't be hung up on getting a tripod as a package with the scope, they'll take a standard camera tripod mount (1/4"x20 thread)... I know there's a temptation to go cheap on your glass but there really IS a difference...If you look around you may be able to find someone who's upgrading their glass and can give you a good deal on his old stuff that's still very, VERY good. |

BURRIS LANDMARK Good price and good optics. The 50mm can see.22 holes at 100 pretty easy. Havn't used the 60mm. I have the 80mm and have no trouble seeing .22 holes at 200yds.Even with a slight mirage. On the down side..no 45degree eyepiece and short eye relief. Search around the net...prices vary alot.
