Thanks!

Shot.
Sorry, that drives me nuts.

A phone app probably won't be accurate. The ones I have tried sucked.

When I put my mac on a shot timer, it was WAY higher than I expected.

Yeah im curious, i have my M16 suppressed and it seems to be running really fast. Im also have some issues with ejection pattern as well and heavier buffers just arent doing enough, think i need to look into a adjustable gas block but would like a shot timer to tell how much of a difference its making.

Fixed the title.
Not looking for multiple decimal accuracy, just looking for rough idea of fire rate, maybe within 50 rpm of the actual rate would be close enough.

I've tried the IPSC shot timer app (free) but it didn't work for shit.   It was on an android, though, not an iphone.

Why not buy a shot timer? I mean, they aren't expensive.

The Surefire one was the closest to decent, and still wasn't all that great.  The others I tried were all junk.

Or just find the nearest USPSA/IDPA/3-Gun club.  They all use shot timers, and a machinegun makes friends at a gun range pretty easily...
