Picked up a new Honda 2000i generator today , get it home and it wont start. I'm a car guy so I know we need three things. (1) fuel , we have it. (2) air - clean filter. (3) spark ... don't think we got any there. plug is brand new , no fouling. Already removed the "start/stop" plug from the front , still nothing.
Whats the chance of a new Honda coming in with a non-working coil pack? Anything else I should be checking out in the mean time? |

Quoted: Oil? If it senses a low level, it will not run. Definitely true. OP if it is brand new can't you just let the dealer sort it out? It's a great gennie and mine has always been reliable, but perhaps yours has some flaw that the dealer should be able to diagnose pronto and fix under warranty. |

Started on the second pull once I got out a multi-meter and figured out there was a loose connection in the electrical wiring. Pisses me off you spend that much $$$ on a generator that everyone swears by and I manage to get the one I have to diagnose and play with. Such is life.
One step closer to finishing that prepping list though |
