[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need stumping help

As title states, have an 10 inch diameter stump that needs to be stumped. This is in a residential lot and cannot be pulled or tannerited. I do not want to pick axe it out and have drilled 8in deep holes in it and added stump killer. It is now dead. I was thinking about thermiting the shit outa it. Any ideas on this? Lemme know

Rent a stump grinder.
I spent all last Saturday gringing stumps that I missed after Hurricane Wilma. Neat thing is they can suck in about 20 feet of chain link in about .5 seconds.

Thermite, there's an idea.

But get a big drill and pour potassium nitrate/sodium hydroxide into the big holes and hose some water onto it. It breaks down the cellulose, rots the wood in a few months

now for the question of the week. Where can I buy rust? I do not wanna make it. Also, when the thermite is ignitied, will it burn the stump until it hits the soil, or will it combust the soil too?
