My dad is running Windows XP on a Celeron 2.70 GHz machine with only 256K of RAM!! He needs more but it's been a LONG time since I've purchased RAM so I have no idea how to tell what is compatible. The RAM he has is DDR 333 CL 2.5. Is he limited to DDR 333 RAM or will other types work? He's not looking for a huge upgrade, just something to speed his PC up. I'm running 480 MB and my machine is blindingly fast compared to his (an HP purchased from WallyWorld but with the hard drive formatted and an OEP version of Windows XP installed). |
