| I'm thinking about trying it out, anybody use it? Good, bad, ugly? |

I've got Netflix. It's about $ 20 a month for 3 movies (you get three and when you send one back they send another), you can get cheaper plans with less movies per month by clicking to quit.I had a couple of little problems, got the wrong disc, got one that was broken etc; but that's been a very unusual occurance. I have lots of friends that have it and say they have never had any problems. I like that there are no late fees. If I want to watch a movie I watch it, if not I throw it in a drawer and watch it later. I live in NY and there is apparently a netflix center in NY state so if I mail a movie back I get another in about 3 days. I don't know what other distribution centers there are outside NY and CA i.e. how long would it take to get a movie if you did not live on a coast? I don't know where the other distribution centers are, but I would be curious if I did not live in NY. The only real downside to Netflix is it's tough getting new releases depending on what they are for example these movies are listed as not readily available The Royal Tenenbaums Comedy R Short Wait Gosford Park Comedy R Long Wait Vanilla Sky Black Hawk Down Action & Adventure R Short Wait Showtime Rollerball Action & Adventure R Short Wait Hart's War Drama R Long Wait Shallow Hal Black Hawk Down Action & Adventure R Short Wait |
| Netflix is great if you do not live near a place that rents DVDs. You should be able to get at least 6 a month, that is still like $3.50 a disk...not a bad deal. You can pay a higher monthly fee if you want more than 3 out a time, but I find the basic option reasonable. |

I've been using them for a couple of months now and share the opinions above. I think I got several that didn't play correctly and some of the disks i get are obviously the worse for wear. It's not bad having an 11,500 movie library though. I'd try it and if you don't like it, quit. I have to say I really don't miss the video store. |
