Lol, other than multiple articles, dealer "leaks", and threads here all insisting it was going to be solid front axle?

Yeah,  there was some doubt.

I think I even saved some of the threads from the folks insisting it was going to be a SFA Wrangler killer.

Does Ford still own Land Rover? Because hopefully it's not the POS air system them have been using.

I'm sure the body shape is pretty accurate but that canvas topper they have on it in those photos will not look like that in actuality. Nor will it be painted in that camo pattern as some here seem to think. The only info I'd be tempted to gain from those photos would be rough body dimensions, ground clearance, wheel base, and to some degree, body shape. The final product will certainly have a more refined appearance. But I can still gather that I'm not going to like this vehicle despite the stupid looking temporary soft shell on the the test vehicle pictured.

Those are production panels underneath camouflage.

Welcome to the long running world of final testing.

It looks like shit, and the 4 door wranglers are longer than my damn landcruisers, but they sell like hot cakes to the soccer mom crowd. Shrewd decision on Ford’s part. I wish they’d make a 2 door, but I doubt they will.

No shit. But you can't tell what they look like, can you. Because of the camo covering. And I'm quite comfortable assuming the soft shell topper on it doesn't look anything like the final product will look.

Yeah. I don't even know what we are arguing about...

The original statement that prompted this specific discussion was "ITS NOT THE REAL VEHICLE". Well, we are now getting our first (albeit obstructed) view of the final production vehicle...instead of the mules we have seen in the past.

In a couple of weeks there will be another vehicle "caught" with a little less camo and then a few weeks later there will will be an obstructed interior shot and maybe a quarter panel with camo removed, etc. etc.

The majority of four door drivers are men and it's a higher percentage than with the 2 door. The four door is massively more popular among adults who use it as a primary or only vehicle since it's a massive improvement in practicality. They actually don't sell very well at all to the supposed "soccer mom" demographic in spite of what some folks want you to think.

Well that pretty clearly shows the rear suspension. Good news there. Opening in the front camp shows that it will be a TT engine. I hope they do the 2.7 not 2.0 at the minimum.

35" MT with simulated beadlock (could be like the Raptor and have beadlock capable).

That's the baby Bronco Sport

Here's the big Bronco, pretty much a Ford Wrangler.
Depending on the price and what running gear it ends up offering i may end up with one in a couple years.

Some pretty convincing evidence that it will have the 2.7 EB and offer a 7spd manual.
It's based on the same platform as the next Ranger, not the version currently offered.

Based on some of the patents, it looks like it might have factory tube doors, with the panels removable, and an available rack to carry the removed doors in the back.
Might mean they aren't intended to be entirely removed like a Wrangler, but still give you the wind without losing all side impact protection.
