Bought a new gas grill over the weekend from sears.  I've used it everyday since and noticed tonight while cleaning it the original finish on those plates is already coming off.

Normal?

Don't feel bad. I bought a 1800.00 Dukane last year and they gave me "Stainless Steel Cleaner: that was made by/for Dukane and is %100 safe for it.
I sprayed the outside and within 2 minutes all of the writing had come off.

They replaced it. They also took a can to a new one at the showroom with same results.
So where exactly and what exactly is coming off?

Turning the old grill into a charcoal.  Like the gas for quick dinners though.
