I posted this question in GD last night but ended up finding a 1.25A Battery Tender at my local auto shop...
Still interested in an answer from you guys...no replies in GD... New Yuasa AGM motorcycle battery... I added the electrolyte and then discovered my Battery Tender Jr. is a 750 mA tender. Instructions for initial battery charge: - if using a constant current charger refer to charging method printed on battery. CHARGING METHOD 1.2 A x 5-10 hours - If using an automatic type charger, current amps should be equal to or greater than the 1.2 amps So, I have a 750mA battery tender, auto charger but the amps are too low And I have a 2 A trickle charger (not automatic) I'd appreciate some advice on how to proceed.... |

for agm batteries, this is the one recommended.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006G14FK8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 while battery tender says they work, if you do the research, everyone like this better. I also hate battery tender for their bad warranty. you pay shipping to them and back to you if something is wrong with your tender. |

Great reviews too...I've had good luck with my BT Jr. over the past five years on multiple bikes...I got bent for $65 bucks last night for the BT High Efficiency unit last night ($55 on Amazon)... Didn't have much time to research but appreciate the link. I'll keep it in mind if I need a third BT or replacement. |
