I crashed my 2004 Kia Sedona...yes, I drove a mini-van, I properly turned in my man card when I started driving it.  However, I picked up a new 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4x4 (new holder over got a great deal)  It is stock right now, working on rims, tires, bumpers, winch...just have to take things slow as to keep the wife happy.  Anyway...took it out today to play around.  I figured I would just take it easy since it only had 609 miles on it this morning when I started playing and stock road tires.  Just some very mild mud holes & alot of sugar sand.

Anyway...any suggestions on parts, "cool" things to do to it...and so on?

Care to tell what's a good deal?

I've been looking at a Rubicon 4 door.  Sticker is 34 grand, I wonder what it could be bought for.

What kind of discounts did you get?

Just put a winch on it and call it good.  Use a synthetic line and a Hawse fairlead to reduce weight.

$18,400  Couldn't turn that down, best price I could find.  While a Rubicon would have been nice, just couldn't drop that kind of money.  I found a set of Rubicon take off wheels / tires & will run those for now, should be picking them up this week.  It gives me a rougher & taller tire..saves a few bucks for now.

I got sorta' lucky, it rained VERY hard on the way home and washed it off pretty well.
