Hows it shoot? |
I'm not sure, I haven't shot it yet..however, if it's anything like my Bushmaster DCM Rifles that I compete with, it should shoot very well. The Predator has the same specs as the DCM barrels only fluted and without a matching bolt. |
| Nice gun. I just bought a RR 18 inch and I love it but it is a little heavy. This Bushy looks like it would be managable toting around the country side. My only beef is the 1300 dolar price tag. I paid 889 and I don't think the Bushy could shoot any better groups. I will be watching with interest. |
The Predator does not come with a matching bolt like the Varminters or the 16" & 20" DCMs. |

Does anyone know when BM plans on releasing the 24" version in 1x8?? As I'm interested in using one for competition, I've been waiting patiently for a while, and this Predator is tantalizingly close. If any BM reps are reading this- any idea? (and hint hint!) Many thanks, BB |

I bought the Varminter several weeks ago right after I bought a 16 inch bushy. I really love the varminter as I like a rifle that shoots to same point of aim when it gets hot etc. Its seems to do that so far even after I let it cool only partially. I guess I just like accuracy when I am shooting a scoped rifle. I will definitely buy one of these predators next and put an Adjustable stock on it. JRandyH |

Well just heard from Bushmaster on the subject of a suppresor and here are thier words: Subject: Barrels, Target & Flash Hider Bushmaster does not recommend installing muzzle brakes or flash hiders to our DCM/CMP, Predator or Varminter barrels with the 11 degree competition crown. There is a gap left between the muzzle and the flash hider that allows carbon build up on the crown. These carbon deposits can trap moisture causing pitting to the crown which will affect accuracy in the long run. Bushmaster will not warranty a modified barrel. Guess that answers the question. Oh well. |
