| Manhatten style for me...I like seeing what I am eating, I can attempt identification if needed. |

Aside from the fact that im lactose intolerant. More often than not New England is made really sub standard and is more like thick glop in a cup. So I dont even bother rolling the dice on ordering it anymore.
We make bolth at home but I like manhatten much more. |

Surely you're joking.
New England style is the only way to make clam chowder. Manthattan is not chowder. It's tomato-clam soup. That, and it's gross. NECC FTW The only way to make it better is to drop it into a sourdough bread bowl and put it next to an Anchor Steam. That's one of the few things San Francisco gets right. |

Quoted: Boston Clam chowder made with rendered fatback, brings back some fond memories.. Durgin Park Restaurant North Market building, now that was chowder. You win. Real New England Chowdah has small, crisp chunks of fat back that add a different dimension to an otherwise bland dish. I've never seen it outside of my small hometown of Friendship, Maine. Kudos to you sir. |
